What do I need to bring?
On the boat you should consider bringing the following:
· your license
· food
· beverages
· sunglasses
· camera (with film)
· rain gear
· medications (motion sickness)
· Proper attire for the season, the tempter can be a lot cooler
on the lake
Your party should pack food and beverages in small coolers.
Make sure to bring plenty of ice. Many customers have run short
on cooler space for the large quantities of fish that are so
common. Please bring along a big cooler with ice in it that you
leave in you vehicle so you can transport your fish home in.
Also if you are considering getting a fish mounted, bring a big
cooler so the fish won't get damaged.
Do I need to bring a rod or baits?
No, I supply all of the trolling and casting rods and reels
along with the bait and lures.
What if we catch no fish?
To secure the customers satisfaction we offer a Next Trip
Free Guarantee that if there is not a fish caught on the boat
the group will be entitled to go out on their next trip free.
Do you have a toilet on board?
Yes. I have a Port-A-Pot
Can we drink "Alcohol" on the boat?
Yes. Alcoholic beverages are permitted, however drunkenness
is not. Illegal drugs are not permitted on the boat.
How
do you fish, trolling or casting?
The vast majority of My Reel Pursuit walleye charters involve
trolling tactics, however we do jig, drift and cast on occasion.
Steelhead is all trolling. Perch; involves anchoring the boat
and using perch shredders and drop shot tactics with live bait.
Smallmouth bass; drift and casting tube baits.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes, you will need to buy a license. Licenses are available
at department stores and bait/tackle shops. They can also be
purchased over the Internet on the Ohio DNR Website at
http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/licenses.htm Youths under 16 don't
need a license.
